Chuck Jones colocou hoje na lista ANE-2 este alerta sobre livros online, gratuitos, no site do Instituto Oriental da Universidade de Chicago.

É como diz a página:

Starting in 2005, the Oriental Institute is committed to digitizing all of its publications and making them available online, without charge. The minimum for each volume, old and new, current and forthcoming, will be a Portable Document Format (PDF) version following current resolution standards. New publications will appear online at or near the same time they appear in print. Older publications will be processed as time and funding permits

O livro de Israel FINKELSTEIN e Neil Asher SILBERMAN, David and Solomon: In Search of the Bible’s Sacred Kings and the Roots of the Western Tradition, de 2006, foi publicado agora, em abril de 2007, também em formato “Trade Paperback” (ISBN 978-0-7432-4363-6). E está para sair como e-book.

O formato Paperback – o nosso “brochura” – fez o preço cair pela metade e o e-book, texto digital ou eletrônico, sai por 1/3 do original em Hardcover (capa dura).

Como já assinalei antes, a obra foi traduzida para o francês. Pois hoje descobri que existe também em hebraico, publicada pela editora da Universidade de Tel Aviv.
